We're Local

Locally Owned, locally sourced and delivered by proud members of your community

We take great pride in being local and we’re proud to be part of this community. The Comox Valley truly is the land of plenty, and we are fortunate to be able to source the majority of our ingredients within the local region. If we can’t find the products within the Comox Valley, we sometimes venture across the Island and occasionally to the Lower Mainland to find the best quality ingredients for our baked goods and pizzas.

In addition to our own wood-fired bakery items, we also feature the most popular products from our sister bakery, the Cumberland Village Bakery. These include their world-famous glazed donut, apple fritter and much more!

The meat ingredients for our pizzas, sandwiches and savoury items comes from Cumberland’s new Union Specialty Meat shop. Union’s meat products are locally-sourced on Vancouver Island and many of the meats, including pepperoni is made in-house and the ham is home-cured.

Supporting Local Farmers

We work closely with local farmers who provide us with eggs, veggies and seasonal product, pastured pork, Island-grown chicken and turkey, as well as organic grass-fed beef. We intentionally source our ingredients as close to home as possible for freshness and quality that you can taste in everything we make and bake!

Over the years we’ve developed close relationships with the following suppliers:
> Gunter Brothers - they process our locally-sourced meats for almost all of our products
> Union Specialty Meats - is our sister meat shop in Cumberland that provides us with many made in-house meat products
> Tannadice Farms - we work closely with Allan at Tannadice Farms in Courtenay, who grows excellent pork
> Lentelus Farms - Dave Semmelink is a Comox, pastured-pork producer that we frequently use
> Garstin Farms - Brent and Moira Garstin provide us with free-range eggs, local garlic and black garlic, apples, onions, squash and organic garden surplus
> Harmony Acres - Richard Fairbanks in Comox supplies us with free-range chicken, duck and duck eggs, and turkey
> Vancouver Island Grains - provides us with fresh-milled Island grown flours
> Beaver Meadow Farms - Edgar Smith in Comox provides us with organic, grass-fed beef

We believe locally-made food should be sourced with local ingredients. We are confident you will taste the difference!

The Wood Makes it Good!

As with all of our resources, we look close to home first. We burn a local, renewable fuel source in our traditional brick oven with the goal of creating a sustainable hub that supports off-the-grid food preparation. We believe that nothing beats the taste of bread and pizza made by a locally-sourced wood fire!
