We're Local
Locally Owned, locally sourced and delivered by proud members of your community
We take great pride in being local and we’re proud to be part of this community. The Comox Valley truly is the land of plenty, and we are fortunate to be able to source the majority of our ingredients within the local region. If we can’t find the products within the Comox Valley, we sometimes venture across the Island and occasionally to the Lower Mainland to find the best quality ingredients for our baked goods and pizzas.
In addition to our own wood-fired bakery items, we also feature the most popular products from our sister bakery, the Cumberland Village Bakery. These include their world-famous glazed donut, apple fritter and much more!
The meat ingredients for our pizzas, sandwiches and savoury items are locally-sourced on Vancouver Island and many of the meats, including our delicious pepperoni, is made in-house and the ham is home-cured!
Supporting Local Farmers
We work closely with local farmers who provide us with eggs, veggies and seasonal product, pastured pork, Island-grown chicken and turkey, as well as organic grass-fed beef. We intentionally source our ingredients as close to home as possible for freshness and quality that you can taste in everything we make and bake!
Over the years we’ve developed close relationships with the following suppliers:> Gunter Brothers - they process our locally-sourced meats for almost all of our products
> Bull and Sons Delicatessen - this popular deli in Victoria supplies the bakery with an assortment of cured meats, charcuterie platters, sauces, specialty olives and more
> Tannadice Farms - we work closely with Allan at Tannadice Farms in Courtenay, who grows excellent pork
> Garstin Farms - Brent and Moira Garstin provide us with free-range eggs, local garlic and black garlic, apples, onions, squash and organic garden surplus
> Harmony Acres - Richard Fairbanks in Comox supplies us with free-range chicken, duck and duck eggs, and turkey
> Vancouver Island Grains - provides us with fresh-milled Island grown flours
